GENERAL OVERVIEW
Responsible for EKG testing and cardiac event monitors; prepares information for physicians to read and interpret the studies within Cardiovascular Services; scans Holter monitor results into the patient's file.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares patient and performs EKGs according to procedure, e.g., attaches, connects and operates electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electrocardiograph machine. (30%)

Attaches Holter monitor and cardiac event monitor electrodes. (30%)

Maintains records of EKGs, stress tests, and Holter monitors as well as the files and reports; prepares data for physician analysis and interpretation; mails/sends reports or other documents as required. (20%)

Assists in scheduling exams; answers phones; greets and checks in all outpatients whose testing is in our department; and provides information and/or directions. (15%)

Maintains adequate supplies for efficient operations; cleans and maintains equipment; ensures proper working order; and reports any malfunctions. (5%)

Other duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
-
Previous stress testing, Holter monitor scanning and cardiac event monitor experience.

CPR - American Heart Association
-
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
-
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
-
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
-
Associate's Degree
-
Arrhythmia interpretation experience.
