About the Role:
The Server Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position involves assisting servers by preparing tables, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. The Server Assistant acts as a vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, facilitating efficient service flow and timely delivery of orders. By anticipating the needs of both guests and servers, the Server Assistant helps to create a welcoming and hospitable environment. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the restaurant operation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Customer service training or certification.
- Ability to lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) safely.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Assist servers in setting up and clearing tables before, during, and after service.
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Support servers by refilling water glasses, bringing extra utensils, and responding to guest requests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.

The Server Assistant utilizes strong communication skills daily to coordinate effectively with servers and kitchen staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders.
