Account Resolution Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Resolution Specialist to join our client to support outreach efforts that help borrowers regain good standing on their federal student loans. In this role, you will guide former students through repayment solutions, gather accurate account information, and ensure all activities align with compliance and regulatory standards. This position relies heavily on phone-based interaction and investigative follow-up to locate and assist borrowers. Ideal candidates are persistent, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Compensation:
$16.50/hour
Work Schedule:
Two shifts weekly from 11:30 AM–8:00 PM,
Two shifts weekly from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM,
Fridays from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Account Resolution Specialist:
• Support borrowers by discussing delinquent loan issues, identifying barriers to repayment, and guiding them toward appropriate solutions such as payments, deferments, or forbearances.• Deliver timely outreach through phone calls, mailed correspondence, and follow-up campaigns to encourage borrower engagement and confirm repayment arrangements.
• Gather and update borrower demographic and account information by accessing loan servicing systems and documenting all interactions within internal databases.
• Initiate skip trace requests and collaborate with internal specialists when borrowers are unreachable or have outdated contact information.
• Ensure all borrower communications follow federal privacy regulations and fair debt collection requirements.
Qualifications and Skills for the Account Resolution Specialist:
• A high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in collections or customer service is essential.• Strong communication abilities, with confidence guiding customers through forms, instructions, and repayment processes.
• Comfortable working with written procedures, producing clear documentation, and navigating Microsoft systems.
• Adept at following multi-step instructions, problem solving, and interacting professionally with both borrowers and internal teams.
• Highly organized, customer-focused, and able to manage a high volume of outreach.
