Floor Supervisor
Job Details
The Floor Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and cocktail bar, providing exceptional service to guests while managing the front-of-house team. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a keen understanding of the food and beverage industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and Management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable about the menu, cocktail preparation, and service standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
Guest Experience
- Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their visit.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor dining and bar areas to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and overall guest satisfaction.
Operational Oversight
- Assist in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service and quality of food and beverages.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies when necessary.
Financial Management
- Assist in achieving financial targets by monitoring labor costs, beverage costs, and overall profitability.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash reports, ensuring accurate cash handling and deposits.
- Implement and enforce policies related to pricing and promotions.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and alcohol service laws.
- Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and bar for cleanliness and organization.
- Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Event Planning and Execution
- Assist in planning and executing special events, promotions, and themed nights to attract guests.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events through social media and other channels.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of [X years] in a supervisory role within a restaurant or bar environment.
