Position Purpose:
This position will function as the subject matter expert for SCADA systems required for the operation of water/waste water treatment plants and remote facilities within the Pennsylvania Operation. Supports the business with the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and planning of the SCADA systems.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and translation of business requirements into technical specifications, overseeing SCADA vendors during implementation of the SCADA Utility Masterplan, and providing on-going support for all aspects of the PA SCADA system.
Work Environment:
- Work will be hybrid with balance of work in the office, meetings with Operations, and remote.
- Responsible for SCADA in all Operational Areas within Pennsylvania (Harrisburg, Newberry, Mechanicsburg, Bloomsburg, and Dallas Operations).
- Work will be both indoor and outdoor, and will require accessing any place where SCADA equipment is present, such as pits, ladders, tanks, etc.
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related SCADA experience of 15+ years.
- Experience in Water and Wastewater plants and networks
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of popular SCADA packages such as ClearSCADA, GE Proficy, Wonderware, etc. required.
- SCADA PLC programming experience helpful.
- Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.
- TCP/IP networking knowledge required.
- Windows Server knowledge required.
- Strong knowledge of general SCADA project management and technologies.
- Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
- Skills in managing contractors and consultants.
- Ability to function successfully in a diverse, rapidly changing management environment, capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral formats.
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Open collaborative style; ability to work in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Driver's License as some travel is required.
