Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – MICU for travel assignments . This role involves providing critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening medical conditions in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) . The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills, ICU experience, and a passion for high-acuity patient care .
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators .
- Perform continuous assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed .
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals .
- Respond to emergency situations, including code blues and rapid response calls .
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and post-ICU care .
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a critical care or MICU setting .
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, and ventilator management skills .
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and assist with patient transfers .
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
