Data Center Battery Technician - Entry Level

Project Overview:

Join a large-scale battery replacement initiative involving the removal and installation of approximately 9,000 UPS batteries, each weighing between 110–120 lbs. This is a physically demanding role ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in the DC power systems field within data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely remove and replace high-capacity UPS batteries in a data center environment
• Participate in initial online training and receive on-the-job instruction from experienced technicians
• Use basic hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely
• Travel to various data center locations as needed

Work Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with potential for 1–2 hours of daily overtime)
• Location: Candidates must reside within 30 miles of Pittsburgh
• Transportation: Reliable personal transportation required
• Duration: 6+ month assignment

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required—training provided
• Comfortable with labor-intensive tasks
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and grow within the DC power industry

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
