We are partnering with a fast-growing investment platform seeking an Executive Director of Fund Accounting to lead and elevate its fund accounting function. This senior leadership role will oversee all NAV operations, build scalable infrastructure to support new product launches, and develop a high-performing team to meet the demands of continued growth.

This position requires a strong technical foundation from a Big Four firm combined with meaningful, hands-on experience within an investment management organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise overseeing NAV calculations for complex fund structures and thrives in a dynamic, build-and-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and approve daily and monthly NAV processes across a range of open-ended investment vehicles

• Lead, mentor, and grow a fund accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

• Design, enhance, and scale accounting workflows to support new fund launches and product innovation

• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements

• Partner closely with senior leadership, operations, external auditors, and third-party administrators to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and operational effectiveness

• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and infrastructure enhancements

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Experience overseeing and approving daily or monthly NAVs for tender offer or interval funds (Lux UCITS Part II experience acceptable)

• Direct operational experience within an investment management firm (candidates with only fund administration or audit backgrounds will not be considered)

• Proven leadership experience managing teams or demonstrated senior-level technical expertise as a high-impact individual contributor

• Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to private markets

• Experience with complex fund structures including waterfall distributions, carried interest, incentive fees, and high-watermark calculations

• Participation in NAV automation projects, vendor oversight, or data integration initiatives

• Extensive, progressive experience in fund accounting or related financial functions

Additional Qualifications

• Significant senior-level fund accounting experience, ideally 10+ years

• Deep knowledge of open-ended fund structures and daily/weekly NAV cycles

• Experience launching and supporting new fund products

• Strong analytical skills, executive presence, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
