Job Title: 1st Shift Forklift Operator
Job Description
Utilize a forklift, mostly in a standing position with some sitting, to efficiently move materials for various purposes such as loading trailers or flatbeds, transporting materials to and from the production area, and moving items in and out of inventory. The role involves using a high-reach truck to access materials from elevated shelves and employing RF scanners and tracking systems. Work according to manufacturing information materials, lists, requisitions, and both written and oral instructions. Prepare shipments of completed equipment, accessories, and service parts, ensuring that parts on products are properly loaded for shipment. Load, unload, and relocate materials as required, maintaining the quality of material and workmanship to verify conformance to standards. Maintain required records and documents.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and high-reach trucks to move materials efficiently.
- Use RF scanners and tracking systems for inventory management.
- Prepare shipments and ensure proper loading of products for delivery.
- Load, unload, and move materials as needed.
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records and documents related to material handling.
Essential Skills
- Experience with forklift or high-reach equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners or similar equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with both forklifts and high-reach trucks is ideal.

Work Environment
Work in a semi-climate controlled facility with a fairly clean environment and moderate noise levels. Safety is a priority, with candidates expected to wear safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
