Food Runner
FOOD RUNNER
Sets up the front line with the equipment, plate ware and small wares needed to effectively serve all food products
· Coordinates and communicates with the Chef’s correctly time and serve "hot and cold" items to the Guest.
· Delivers food to the correct table and pivot point position numbers. Assists the server as necessary to ensure that the Guest is served immediately. ("Hot Food Hot, Cold Food Cold").
· Puts Take Out orders together and brings to front of house if there is time.
· Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant.
· Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift. Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the Chef or other Manager-On-Duty.
· Correctly completes closing duties at the end of each shift. · Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures, as stated in the NECTAR Employee Training Packet
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time, at least 4 hours
· Ability read, speak, write, and understand communication in English
· Must be able to lift, handle and carry (e.g. trays, small wares and equipment) at a minimum of 20 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
· Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis
· Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively BUSSER
Busser Job Responsibility to included:
- Setting up station to begin the shift
- Water tables after server greet guest
- Clearing tables of plates thru out service
- Refilling water glasses of regular water thru out service
- Reset tables upon guest leaving the area
- Turn in any items left at table.
- Replenish items needed thru out the night, ie plates, glassware, roll ups.
- General restaurant cleanliness thru the shift
- Help with room reset at end of night for private events
- Be able to carry cocktail tray with glasses
- Be able to carry up to 20lb.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers
- Ability to be able to work alone and with others
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
