Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated bilingual tutors to provide academic support to students in both English and a second language. We welcome candidates fluent in a variety of languages (such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic, Russian, and others) to meet the diverse needs of students and families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, skilled at building relationships, and committed to helping students succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in assigned subject areas.
• Support students in understanding and completing coursework.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with families and AspireNook staff.
• Track student progress and provide feedback when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Fluency in English and [second language].
• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification.
• Resume.
• FBI Clearance (within the last year).
• Child Abuse Clearance (within the last year).
• Criminal Background Check (within the last year).
• PPD (TB) Test Results – negative, within the last 2 years.
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form (Act 168) from all applicable employers.
• Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24 of 2011 and Act 82 of 2012).
• Proof of mandated reporter training/certification.
• Active certification and/or license in your field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage learners of different ages.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to conduct virtual sessions.

Schedule and Pay:

• Flexible scheduling based on student and tutor availability.
• Competitive hourly rate.
