Golden Barrel Products - Pretzel Line Team Lead

Essential Job Functions:

• Manages team when supervisor is absent
• Helps in cleaning work area
• Coordinates with Dry Line Supervisor to set production schedule
• Sets production machinery to product specification
• Assigns/rotates line duties among team members
• Helps with taking samples for quality control as needed
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Assists in evaluating team members
• Documents and maintains proper paperwork
• Wears the proper safety equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining quality, authentic, safe, and legal products.
• Any other duties as requested directed or assigned by the manager/supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications:

• Forklift

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Comprehensive operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes 
• Basic understanding of computers
• Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
• Clear decision-making ability
• Basic math skills
• Good team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Good influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and build successful relationships at all levels.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Assists assigned Supervisor in managing and directing assigned personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include safety, may participate in the following: interviewing and hiring; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and providing continual feedback on both positive and negative performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Equipment to Be Used:

• Computer, forklift, and all equipment related to blending

•   Forklift Operation (certified to operate upon hire)
• HACCP Training (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, example: line filters)

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 55 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment .
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb.

 Typical Mental Demands:

• Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to master basic math skills
• Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions

Working Conditions:

• Standard workdays are 1st shift, Tuesday thru Friday: 4:30am – 3:30pm with overtime requirement to preform line
• changeovers. Changeovers occur once or twice throughout a normal work week, requiring you stay a little later than normal to make the line ready for the next production run.
