Horsham Center for Jewish Life is a 324-bed long-term care community dedicated to providing exceptional care and quality of life for our residents. We are currently seeking a dependable, experienced, and hands-on Kitchen/Tray Line Supervisor to join our Dietary Services team.

This 30-hour-per-week position requires flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The Kitchen/Tray Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily tray line operations, preparing nutritious meals, supervising dietary staff, and ensuring meals are served safely, efficiently, and in accordance with residents' dietary needs. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support dietary staff during meal preparation and tray line service.

• Prepare and cook meals following approved menus, therapeutic diets, and standardized recipes.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control regulations.

• Monitor food quality, temperatures, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness.

• Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and proper storage procedures.

• Coordinate timely and accurate meal service for residents.

• Train and mentor dietary staff on food preparation, safety practices, and departmental procedures.

• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

• Collaborate with dietary leadership and clinical staff to accommodate residents' nutritional and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; supervisory experience preferred.

• Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, rehabilitation, or senior living setting is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and other physical kitchen duties.
