Telephone Representative

Please note: This is NOT a remote position. Please only apply if you can work at our Robinson location.

At Petland Robinson, we are dedicated to matching the right pet with the right family and meeting the needs of both.

As a Telephone Representative, you are an integral part of sending every puppy to its fur-ever family. You will serve as the first contact with many guests either by answering incoming calls or following up on inquiries made online.

This is not a telemarketing or cold-call position.

Your primary responsibility is to serve guests well by having a positive attitude, answering questions accurately, and ensuring customers are well informed when they arrive for their reservation to meet a puppy.

Phone scenarios include, but are not limited to, following up on online inquires, setting reservations for future pet-owners to meet with new family members, and answering questions about products, et cetera for current pet owners.

• Ability to be reliable (i.e. - no excessive call-offs)

• Ability to multi-task (specific emphasis on phone and computer use)

• Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
• Ensure safety and security of our pets, pet-parents, fellow associates, and visitors
• Friendly, interactive, outgoing personality
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment
• Flexibility and stamina to work retail hours

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-year experience preferred in Call Center or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
• Current valid driver's license

*We are hiring for a full-time position (40 hours), part-time will be considered if you have an open schedule without restrictions.*

*There will be performance reviews at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. If you are meeting or exceeding your goals then there will be an increase in pay*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
