We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join the Workplace Platforms team, a group focused on defining and driving the equity, financial wellness, retirement and nonqualified deferred compensation platform experiences for plan sponsors and participants. This professional will be responsible for driving the API/MCP strategy across workplace benefits to support partnership, client and AI solutions including partnerships driving referrals, plan management (e.g. HRIS) and internal/external AI use cases.

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Influence the API/MCP vision, strategy, and roadmap across Morgan Stanley’s workplace offerings and platforms

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including technology, service delivery, risk, legal & compliance, to develop and launch solutions that meet the needs of our plan sponsors and participants

  • Identify and elaborate on critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product vision/goals and address critical user and control needs

  • Identify and prioritize features based on customer needs, business goals, and market trends

  • Develop and maintain a product backlog, ensuring that user stories are clear, concise, and actionable

  • Define acceptance criteria and work closely with the development team to ensure that user stories are delivered on time and within scope

  • Communicate progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders on a regular basis

  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions about product improvements and new features


Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in the financial services industry

  • Proven track record of delivering successful digital products on time and within scope

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making

  • Experience delivering API/MCP solutions through collaboration with 3rd parties preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
