Our primary focus is on strengthening the built environment and perceptual experience. We maintain a high level of interest in preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse of historic and existing buildings and sites. We strive to create thoughtful, responsible, artful and unexpected architectural solutions, that meet the unique needs of our clients. Job Description Tippetts/Weaver architects, inc. is seeking an architect/architect intern with between 2-5 years of demonstrated work experience in all phases of project design to join our small and bustling firm. We offer a fast paced, collaborative, flexible work environment, with a focus on design excellence and quality Job Duties- Participate as a contributing and collaborative member of a project team
- Contribute to all phases of a project under supervision of the principals
- Prepare Design Development and Construction Documents, and coordinate with consultants
- Completion of an undergraduate or graduate level degree from an accredited architecture program
- 2-5 years of professional experience at an architectural firm
- Exhibit an understanding of architectural practice and the development of design concepts
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and demonstrates good problem-solving skills
- A clear ability to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and work within a team structure
- Exhibit an understanding of construction detailing and an interest in technical drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required; Adobe Creative Suite and a graphic sensibility desired
- Insatiable curiosity and desire to learn
