Child Care Aide [Part-Time]
We are seeking caring, dependable Childcare Aides to support our early learning program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, follows routines well, and can work collaboratively with a classroom team.
Both experience and a positive attitude are valued. Training is provided.
(Shifts vary by day; flexibility required.)
Opener (7:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
- Greet children and families during morning drop-off
- Assist with classroom setup and daily routines
- Support breakfast and/or morning snack
- Help lead circle time, learning activities, and free play
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and handwashing
- Support transitions and morning schedules
Mid-Shift (11:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Assist with lunch preparation, serving, and cleanup
- Support nap/rest time routines
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Assist teachers with learning activities and transitions
- Maintain a safe, calm, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social and emotional development
Closer (2:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Supervise afternoon play and activities
- Assist with afternoon snack
- Help children prepare for pick-up
- Communicate appropriately with parents at dismissal
- Clean and reset classrooms at the end of the day
- Ensure children are safely released to authorized adults
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work with young children in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Background checks and clearances required (or willingness to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid a plus (or willingness to complete)
