Ray Price Cars is growing! We've been in business for over 100 years, and we represent 10 brands in 2 locations. We're looking for a Service Manager for our Ford location in Mount Pocono.

What You’ll Do:
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff.
Maintain reporting systems required by general management and the factory.
Attend managers meetings.
Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
Develop and implement a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business.
Understand, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that effect the service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-To-Know, etc.
Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
Account for all documents; ensures that none are issuing and all are processed correctly.
Hold weekly department meetings.
Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
Facilitate and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools.
Monitor technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the Parts Manager to ensure availability.
Initial all repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department, monitoring for sales and hours relatives to expectations.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
Inform repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order.
Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
Keep abreast of new equipment and tolls available and recommends purchase.
Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with vocational technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
Maintain safe work environment.
Maintain professional appearance.
What You’ll Need
Strong technical knowledge acquired through education or training at a college or trade school.
Extensive practical experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
Extensive practical experience supervising technicians
Top customer service required
Previous experience as a service advisor or technician is important.
