Loss Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Loss Prevention Coordinator assists the Loss Prevention Manager in monitoring and investigating potential theft, fraud, and policy violations. This role primarily involves reviewing security footage, analyzing store activity, and supporting investigations through surveillance systems. Additionally, the coordinator may accompany the Loss Prevention Manager to store locations for in-person evaluations.

This is a flexible position with limited duties and responsibilities that may change based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor in-store camera systems to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity.

• Assist in reviewing and analyzing security footage to support investigations.

• Support investigations of cash shortages and inventory losses.

• Document and report findings to the Loss Prevention Manager.

• Assist with implementing company policies and procedures to reduce shrink and improve security.

• Visit store locations with the Loss Prevention Manager to conduct investigations as needed.

• Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in all duties.

• Build rapport with store employees and leadership to enhance loss prevention efforts.

• Learn and operate camera surveillance systems and analytical tracking tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in retail, security, or loss prevention is preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently while following company protocols.

• Basic knowledge of, or willingness to learn, camera systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Must be flexible with scheduling based on business needs.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in loss prevention while maintaining regular responsibilities at the home store.
