Lead Senior Financial Reporting Officer
- Lead resources that contribute to SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC reports in compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP
- Lead the preparation, review and filing of other SEC reports and the organization's benefit plan financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of earnings releases and other related financial communications
- Maintain and update XBRL tagging for financial statements and footnotes
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual external audits
- Lead coordination with external auditors for the organization's benefit plan audits.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Policy team to monitor changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, assess their impact on reporting requirements, and assist implementation of new standards and requirements
- Take an active role in ensuring SOX compliance for all SEC reporting processes including the review and maintenance of SOX process documentation, self-testing controls, managing audit requests, and if necessary, develop remediation plans for ineffective controls
- Participate in special projects, as needed
- Review and/or prepare various ad-hoc analyses, as needed
- This role may be required to work evenings and/or weekends during peak reporting and filing periods.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
- CPA certification or an MBA is strongly preferred.
- Must have at least 5 years of accounting experience.
- Prior public accounting, financial services industry and/or SEC reporting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience using Workiva reporting software and Oracle Financials strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP/general ledger systems, specifically Oracle, experience is a plus.
- Demonstrates the ability to use judgement to apply U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations and financial reporting concepts and make recommendations to management.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability, with a detail-oriented commitment to accuracy and strict deadlines; Ability to execute and follow-through to completion.
- Must possess a proven ability to automate and/or streamline processes to improve effectiveness and/or efficiency, reduce risk.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and complexity.
$92,869.00 - $152,569.00 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
