Drug and Alcohol Case Coordination Supervisor

This position is responsible for overseeing the case management unit and all case management unit personnel. This position will ensure the funding for all services authorized through the Case Management Unit in adherence to various funding stream requirements. This is professional work providing a full range of case management services in the field of drug and alcohol treatment. The employee will screen and assess clients' needs to determine the level of care required based on placement guidelines, coordinate access to treatment services; and develop and implement a comprehensive service plan. The employee will monitor the treatment progress of clients, write reports, and advocate for clients with other agencies or organizations to maximize clients' benefits. Work is assigned according to the objectives of the program and needs of the two counties. The objectives are assigned directly by the Administrator either in staff meetings, direct oral instructions or by written memoranda. Work is reviewed in weekly meetings.
Willparticipateininterviewingandmakehiringrecommendationsofcasemanagement staffWillmaintain and implement theorientation&trainingprogramforallCaseManagement SpecialistsWill superviseand evaluate, pursuant toestablishedpolicy& procedures, theperformanceof subordinatestaff to include case management, and support staffWillinterpretrules, regulation,policies,standardsandobjectivesof theCaseManagementUnit for subordinates and othersWillconductdailyandweeklyCaseManagement Unitmeetingswithassigned staffWillserveasCaseManagementliaisontoprovidersandcommunitystakeholder partnersWill coordinate to schedule client level of care assessments for community stakeholder partners with the Case Management Unit WillsupervisetheCaseManagementstaffinalltheirdutiesregardtotheirprovisionof servicesWill conduct quality chart reviews for Case Management staff and others to ensure compliance with applicable oversight requirementsWill strictly adhere the roles and responsibilities delineated for Single County Authority (SCA) staff when working with a Health Choices (Medicaid) member who may be receiving clinical and case management services through the SCAWill provide reports as directed by the Administrator for use during Executive Commission and Provider meetingsWill provide direct case management services in a backup capacity, as requiredWill attend regularly scheduled Executive Commission meetings, Provider meetings, Staff meetings, and/or other meetings, as assignedWill provide statistics, needs assessments and projections as required by administrationWill produce the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statistics required by SCA and DDAPWill prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required by the Single County Authority (SCA) and/or the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP)Will follow all established policies & procedures outlined in the County's Personnel Policy, the SCA's Policy and Procedures, and the DDAP Case Management guidelinesManage the in-patient treatment budget with different providers and various funding streamsVerify and approve payment of inpatient treatment and partial hospitalization treatment billsVerify and prepare monthly Assessment and Case Management invoices Manage employees of the Case Management Unit in the day-to-day operations, including coordinating accrued time off in order to maintain adequate coverage in the unit each dayMaintain Time and Attendance for supervised staffDaily management of ensuring client care is a priority and assuring that all clients are treated with the utmost dignity and respectOversee use of statewide data system and internal Electronic Medical Records system within the Case ManagementUnit in order to ensure that DDAP changes and requirements are met and carried outWill provide training to our provider network on the requirements for the Electronic Medical Records systems as neededStaff development to encourage efficient and effective productivity, while keeping up morale and positive working relationships between staffComplete job performance evaluations on the Case Management Unit employeesWill perform all other related work as required SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY -ALL CANDIDATE{S): 1.) Meet the minimum experience and training (METS) required for this position: Two years as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist; or A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and three years direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or A Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; and three years direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.2.) Be a resident of Pennsylvania.3.) Combination of education and work experience will be considered. SELECTION CRITERIA: 1.) Meet the minimum experience and training required for the job.2.) Meritorious Service, defined as: The absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date on the posting.The last due overall regular or probationary performance evaluation was higher than unsatisfactory.3.)
