As a Software Engineer Senior within PNC's Lending Technology - Payments organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Strongsville, OH, or Birmingham, AL.

A Senior Software Engineer joins a product aligned engineering team to design, build, test, and support modern software solutions. They partner closely with product owners, QE, architects, business stakeholders, and peer engineers to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure applications that support critical banking functions.

The role blends hands on coding, system design, technical leadership, and end to end ownership, from ideation through production support. They help mentor junior developers, drive engineering excellence, ensure code quality, and contribute to process and tooling improvements.

Job Description

  • Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $152,375.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
