Description:
The Workforce Job Placement Coordinator (Spanish/English) provides direct support to individuals seeking to achieve sustainable employment and long-term economic mobility. This position plays a critical role in assessing participant needs, developing career plans, facilitating workforce programming, and connecting clients with job and training opportunities. The coordinator develops partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and organizations throughout the Philadelphia region for optimal employment placements; and fosters meaningful relationships with representatives from trade schools, workforce organizations, colleges, and universities that offer potential employment opportunities. Requirements:Primary Responsibilities/ Tasks:
1. Build and maintain relationships with employers, unions, and training providers to create job pipelines and placement partnerships.
2. Collaborate with internal staff (e.g., Career Readiness Coordinator, Workforce Managers) to identify participants ready for job placement.
3. Assist youth in identifying and applying for jobs, internships, apprenticeships, and credentialed training opportunities.
4. Coordinate job matching and direct referrals to employers based on participant interests and training alignment.
5. Track employment milestones such as placement, retention, and post-program advancement for reporting and incentive purposes.
6. Communicate regularly with employers to gather feedback, troubleshoot challenges, and support youth retention.
7. Participate in career events, industry meetings, or employer site visits to expand partnerships and raise program visibility.
8. Stay current with labor market trends to inform job development strategy.
9. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
