Field Technician

Location: Field / Client Sites / Shop Office Position Summary
The Field Technician plays a key role in the success of each custom cabinetry project by ensuring field accuracy before fabrication begins. This position is responsible for visiting job sites to take detailed measurements, verify site conditions, and communicate critical information to the Production and Installation teams. The Field Technician serves as the eyes and ears of the production department in the field, helping to prevent rework, improve fit and finish, and ensure projects are executed smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to take accurate field measurements for cabinetry, millwork, and built-in installations.
- Inspect and document site conditions such as wall angles, floor levels, ceiling heights, and mechanical locations.
- Capture clear site photos and notes for the Production and Installation teams.
- Review drawings and layouts prior to fabrication to verify alignment with field conditions.
- Communicate directly with the Production Manager, Designers, and Installers to relay measurements, site challenges, and installation considerations.
- Confirm site readiness prior to delivery or installation and identify potential access or installation issues.
- Maintain measurement tools, laser levels, and documentation equipment.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with homeowners, builders, and contractors.
- 3+ years of experience in cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry required.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry installation and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and documentation.
- Comfortable working independently at client job sites and construction environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with digital measurement tools, tablets, and photo documentation software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments.
- Regular travel to client sites within the region.
