Sergery Design Studio is a specialized cut-and-sew house dedicated to a future of sustainable fashion. We design and manufacture ecologically conscious athletics, swim and loungewear using salvaged and upcycled fabrics. As a multi-brand startup incubator, we focus on contour wear —including dance, yoga, athleisure, swimwear, underwear and loungewear. We pride ourselves on turning technical and salvage fabrics into beautiful, wearable pieces that are functional and lovable! We embrace technology to design unique and competitive products, including one of a kind up-cycled and made to measure!

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our Homestead team. This position manages daily business logistics, ensuring smooth workflows by overseeing schedules, inventory, vendor relationships, and administrative tasks. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced startup environment where quality and sustainability are our top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Production supervision and inventory
• Completion of Projects and Deadlines
• Supervision of part time staff and interns
• Communications with Customers and Vendors

Requirements

• Production Literacy: Ability to read and follow technical sewing patterns, operations and construction notes.
• Technical Skill: Prior experience with industrial sewing machines is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong home-sewing experience and a good mechanical aptitude.
• Fabric Knowledge: Comfort working with 4-way stretch fabrics and delicate materials.
• Mindset: A passion for ecological fashion, upcycling, and the "slow fashion" movement.
• Reliability: Ability to work a consistent schedule of 10–20 hours per week at our Homestead Design studio.
• Professionalism: Ability to manage multiple deadlines and time frames, while contributing to an environment that is both positive and productive!
• Creativity: We are a startup and looking for someone who wants to contribute to the overall mission and success of our brands.
