Litigation Legal Assistant

Description Our client a highly respected law firm looking for a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys by managing litigation tasks, maintaining case files, and coordinating schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of legal procedures. This role is hybrid but primarily on-site. Ideal candidates should have large law firm experience and be able to work with multiple attorneys. Responsibilities: - Prepare, edit, and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. - Organize attorney schedules, coordinate meetings, and track critical deadlines for court filings. - Handle state and federal court filings, including electronic submissions and physical documentation as needed. - Maintain detailed case files, compile exhibits, and assist with trial preparation activities. - Draft precise correspondence, engagement letters, and other routine communications. - Oversee document production processes, including labeling and organizing discovery materials. - Support billing processes by managing time entry and reviewing monthly invoices. - Perform administrative tasks such as arranging travel, preparing expense reports, and managing scanning and printing needs. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of litigation support experience in a large law firm. - Comprehensive knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support software. - Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities. - Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Excellent communication skills and capability to work effectively with multiple attorneys. - Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet competing deadlines.
