Purchasing manager - experience electrical and electronics manufacturing
Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Seven Valleys, PA
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing team and oversee supplier management, cost control, and procurement strategies. This position reports directly to senior leadership and plays a key role in ensuring on-time delivery of quality materials while driving efficiency within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of 4–5 Purchasing Agents.
- Oversee daily purchasing operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Develop and maintain a certified supplier base.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and supplier performance expectations.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and pursue cost savings.
- Support strategic and operational business plans through effective procurement practices.
- Participate in ISO audits, LEAN initiatives, and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/database systems.
- Experience in manufacturing or electronic components (preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO, LEAN, ITAR, and import/export processes (a plus).
