Flex Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse, OP - OB/GYN (Greentree, PA)
University of Pittsburgh Physician Services is hiring a flex full-time Licensed Practical Nurse, OP to join their Greater Pittsburgh OB/GYN office in Greentree ! This position will be responsible for assisting RNs with their daily duties, test results, OB teaching, and ONAF submissions. This position will be required to travel to other OB/GYN offices within a 30-mile radius to support staffing needs, as needed.
Schedule/Shift: Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm with no weekends or holidays! One evening shift per week may be required, as needed. Previous OB/GYN and Epic experience is preferred.
*Travel to partnering locations in Bethel Park, West Mifflin, Mercy, Moon, Sewickley, and Cranberry may be required for assisting with scheduling/team needs.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Assess patient’s general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
