Position Overview We’re seeking passionate Robotics Software Engineers to design, develop, and implement robust software solutions for our robotic systems. You’ll work on real-world applications, ensuring our technology is functional, reliable, and high-performing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a startup environment, collaborating with renowned experts to push the boundaries of underwater robotics. Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize software for autonomous robotic systems.
- Integrate and test real robots and sensors.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team to iterate on system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the design of robust, scalable robotic solutions for challenging environments.
- Participate in field tests and provide continuous improvements based on feedback.
- BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Current students with the right skills are welcome!
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Demonstrated experience with software systems integrated with robots and sensors
- Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS2
- Experience with Linux environments
- Experience with SLAM and state estimation
- Expertise in robotic perception and estimation
- Field experience operating robotic systems
- Knowledge of control system design
- Background in task and motion planning
- Project or team management experience
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident (this requirement cannot be waived)
- Part-time positions require a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week
- Occasional travel for field testing is expected
