Insurance Underwriting Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Our client is a well-established insurance organization known for its commitment to delivering quality service innovative solutions and a strong focus on customer relationships. They are currently seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist to join their team and provide critical administrative and operational support to their underwriting department.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of experience in an administrative operations or support role within the insurance industry (underwriting support experience preferred).
- Knowledge of insurance terminology and workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance-related software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support to underwriters and underwriting managers.
- Review and enter insurance applications endorsements and renewal documents into internal systems.
- Communicate with agents/brokers to gather missing information or clarify application details.
- Assist in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
- Maintain and update underwriting files and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform data entry quality control and document management tasks.
- Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g. Claims Compliance Actuarial) as needed.
