Help drive growth by connecting quality owner operators (truck drivers) with the right opportunities.
The Driver Recruiter’s primary goal is to recruit quality owner operators to promote company growth. This role partners with our Agent network to identify recruiting needs, attract qualified owner operators, and maintain candidate engagement throughout the recruiting process. Once a candidate is ready to move forward, the Driver Recruiting Specialist transitions them to the Driver Qualification team for the qualification and onboarding process.
Essential Job Duties
- Source for applicants via cold calling, email and text message blasts, computer databases, and other recruiting resources
- Conduct discovery conversations with prospective owner operators to assess interest and align opportunities with Agent recruiting needs
- Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to delegate and shift leads among the recruiting team to maximize driver placement
- Partner with Agents to understand recruiting needs, provide recruiting updates, and adjust sourcing strategies to support driver placement
- Maintain open lines of communication with Agent partners to ensure successful fulfillment of recruitment needs
- Maintain candidate engagement throughout the recruiting process, ensuring a smooth transition to the Driver Qualification team upon candidate acceptance
- Promote brand awareness through platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and company websites
- Attend recruitment fairs and terminal visits when necessary
- Assist with training new recruiters
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a recruiting/talent acquisition function or sales function
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Customer service and sales oriented
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Social Media, or similar
- Experience recruiting within the transportation/logistics industry
- Experience with Social Media advertising
