Job Summary: Fabrication Supervisor:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Supervisor to lead our manufacturing and fabrication operations. In this role, you will oversee the fabrication process, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction site environments, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly. Your leadership will be instrumental in coordinating teams, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes. Responsibilities: Fabrication Supervisor:
- Supervise daily fabrication activities on-site and in the workshop, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate fabrication.
- Oversee welding operations including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to ensure high-quality welds.
- Manage the use of power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Conduct inspections of sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and assemblies using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure proper rigging and crane operations for lifting heavy materials safely during fabrication and installation.
- Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels and mechanical components.
- Facilitate training on schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, pipe threading, machining processes, soldering, and assembly procedures.
- Oversee the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe movement of materials.
- Monitor project timelines and coordinate resources efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Enforce safety regulations across all activities while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills: Fabrication Supervisor:
- Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of fabrication processes in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting heavy components safely with cranes or forklifts.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, machining operations, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing pressure vessels and mechanical components.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations pertinent to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with ductwork systems and manufacturing environments involving sheet metal work.
