Job Summary
T he Senior QA Analyst is responsible for leading and executing quality assurance and testing activities across infrastructure, database, and application systems. This role supports monthly patch testing, infrastructure initiatives, and enterprise projects by developing robust test strategies, managing test execution, and delivering high-quality automation frameworks. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet functional, technical, and operational requirements.
Job Description
- Manage and support monthly patch testing across infrastructure, RDBMS, application, and related systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the patching and testing lifecycle.
- Support infrastructure-related projects and enterprise initiatives.
- Develop application testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Lead and coordinate quality assurance and testing efforts with business testers and technical teams.
- Perform manual and automated system, regression, and functional testing.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks to support enterprise projects.
- Create project testing timelines, milestones, and provide daily status updates to project teams.
- Manage test execution and defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Create reports, dashboards, and test coverage metrics using test management tools (qTest).
- Promote quality testing standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure testing meets agreed standards and business and operational acceptance criteria.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, risks, schedules, and quality impacts.
- Develop automation scripts as assigned by management.
- Support test data requests and environment coordination.
- Communicate testing status, risks, and quality issues to management and stakeholders.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in software system and application testing.
- 5+ years of experience with QA/QC practices and test design techniques.
- 3+ years of experience managing and coordinating system and application testing.
- 2–3 years of experience running automation scripts using Tosca Test Suite.
- Proven experience developing and executing automation frameworks using Tosca Model-Based Automation and API Scan.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with qTest.
- Experience producing automation execution reports using Tosca Reports.
- Demonstrated experience creating QA artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and system architecture.
- Expertise in test automation and API testing using tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Ansible, and Sauce Labs.
- Experience with Tosca Model-Based Automation, API Scan for REST and SOAP services, and mobile automation (iOS and Android).
- Strong experience with qTest and JIRA for test and defect management.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Oracle RDBMS expertise, including PL/SQL, SQL tuning, and data validation.
- Experience with web services and web applications (HTML5, CSS, jQuery).
- Familiarity with GUI object recognition and customization.
- Experience with source control and configuration management tools.
- Comfortable working in both UNIX and Windows environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly report issues and provide status updates.
- Ability to work independently with minimal knowledge transfer while remaining a strong team player.
- High resilience under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field,
- OR eight (8) years of applicable professional experience.
