Job Title: Water Jet Operator

Pay: $22-27/hr + 15% shift differential for 2nd shift

Shift:

• 1st = Mon - Fri (7am to 3:30pm)
• 2nd = Mon-Thu (3:30pm to 2am) - must be able to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks (7am to 3:30pm)

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Water Jet Operator to join our fabrication or manufacturing team. This position involves operating and maintaining CNC water jet cutting machines to produce precision parts and components from metal, plastic, and other materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC water jet cutting machines to cut materials according to specifications.
• Load and secure raw materials on the machine bed.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and work orders to ensure accurate cuts.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on water jet equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of machine operations.
• Experience with CNC equipment or water jet cutting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
