Job Description

Hill International is seeking a Project Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; South Jersey; North Delaware. This position is open to collect resumes in anticipation of upcoming work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary project liaison with campus staff and manage projects from initiation through completion of construction.
  • Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.
  • Manage facility user groups, operations, and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage planning, design, and execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, and coordination.
  • Lead meetings with owner, architects, and contractors and provide leadership in client relations.
  • Responsible for project budget, scheduling, and procurement of design and construction services.
  • Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.
  • Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements.
  • Facilitate timely review of contract documents at schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of the work.
  • Review and approve design, construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, guaranteed maximum price submittals, bid documents, and pay applications.
  • During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes.
  • Apply project control processes to track progress, maintain consistency, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience providing professional project management and leadership with vertical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering related fields.
  • Experience in healthcare and research is required.
  • Experience working on multiple large healthcare projects within the construction industry is required.
  • Registration as Professional Architect or Engineer is preferred.
