Responsibilities Summary:

Design and Enhance Infrastructure and Deployment Pipelines
Design, plan, implement, document, and deliver advanced CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure solutions in a team setting with a high degree of independence and autonomy, achieving high standards of quality, maintainability, scalability, and security. Advocate for and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated infrastructure provisioning to support continuous testing and development environments. Utilize various tools and techniques to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent complex infrastructure issues.

Strategic Problem Solving and Infrastructure Support
Contribute regularly to the ongoing support of production infrastructure to maintain high reliability and performance. Lead technical efforts to investigate incidents and resolve complex issues in production systems, including updates to settings, permissions, and components of various systems. Ensure timely and effective responses to urgent infrastructure issues as part of on-call rotations, minimizing service disruptions and supporting system reliability. Participate in root cause analyses, debrief activities, and follow-up actions to prevent issue recurrence. Document and maintain procedures for handling change requests and incident responses to streamline future support efforts.

Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives, priorities and risks. Provide thoughtful, thorough, and timely code reviews for work within your team's scope as well as in your own areas of technical expertise or ownership.

Software Delivery Planning and Execution
Contribute to the successful delivery of software development projects in collaboration with cross functional team members through high-quality planning and execution. This includes developing work backlogs for medium to large features or projects that facilitate prioritized incremental and iterative delivery of customer value, achieving consistent and predictable velocity, and effectively managing competing priorities and risks to successful delivery through effective communication and proactive mitigation.

Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership and expertise across one or more product features, technologies, and/or systems. This includes acting as a subject matter expert and resource for peers, contributing to technical designs in collaboration with senior technical leaders, and seeking opportunities for knowledge sharing through documentation or activities such as brown bags or tech talks. Additionally, act as a mentor for junior teammates as needed.

Proactively seek opportunities to acquire new skills and share knowledge by mentoring, teaching, or collaborating with others to help foster a culture of learning.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, software development, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code, containerization, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency in configuration management tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Strong experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and deployment automation tools.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and lead technical projects.
• Proficiency required in speaking, reading, and writing English.

PAID TIME OFF : Paid holidays, as well as 4 weeks of annual paid time off are provided. The annual paid time off increases one week every five years.

This is an onsite position at our State College, PA headquarters and candidates must live within commutable distance to State College, PA. Remote work is not an option for this position.
