Forklift Operator
- Monday through Friday - 4:00pm until 90% of workload complete
- Sunday through Thursday - 6:00pm until Finish (mandatory OT, as needed)
- Fill pick locations in an accurate and timely manner to avoid slowing down the picking process.
- Stacking empty pallets and relocation of pallets.
- Movement of product to the correct locations in the warehouse.
- Performing quality checks on new inbound product when preparing it for storage.
- Carryout daily forklift requirements such as recharging its battery and reporting any equipment malfunctions or faults to the supervisor or technicians.
- Maintain equipment per company standards in a neat, clean, orderly fashion, leaving equipment clean and ready to use for next operator.
- Stack products by hand in warehouse locations when the situation demands.
- Reporting damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors.
- Restocking bins with product when locations become empty or low in quantity based on RF system.
- Maintain warehouse stock in a neat, orderly, and ready to ship condition, free of damage and in good date as required.
- Pick cases for outbound shipment when required to support timely dispatch of trucks or customer pickups.
- Maintain a clean work environment per food safety and company standards. Assist in always keeping facility and surrounding premises in audit ready condition.
- Other duties as requested by management.
- Must have a good knowledge of warehouse arrangement, layout, and functionality.
- Knowledge of using a RF system to track product within the warehouse.
- An understanding and knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Must have good communication and be able to perform simple mathematical calculations and adhere to instructions.
- Must be effective in a team-oriented working environment.
- Forklift certification and training required.
- 1-year minimum experience on forklift required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in temperature varied environments for extended periods of time, ranging from -10 degrees F to 90 degrees F, and handle the demands of the departments.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Noisy environments / Hazardous conditions.
