Dental receptionist / admin
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator / Front Desk team member to manage insurance verification and claims, coordinate patient finances, and deliver exceptional front-desk service. This part-time role (approx. 30–32 hrs/week) requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and experience in a dental office environment.

Job DescriptionVerify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations as needed
Prepare, submit, and follow up on dental insurance claims
Estimate patient financial responsibility and present treatment plan cost options
Collect and post patient payments; process refunds and manage daily cash reconciliation
Schedule and confirm appointments; manage recall and reminder systems
Greet patients, check them in/out, and maintain a professional front-desk presence
Answer multi-line phone system, triage calls, and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of confidential information
Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
Perform general administrative tasks (filing, scanning, correspondence, office supplies)
Salary Rangepart-time $20 - $22 per hour

Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
RequirementsMinimum 1 year of dental front office experience, including insurance coordination and payment processing
Proven experience submitting and following up on dental insurance claims
Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy office
Basic computer proficiency (scheduling, email, electronic patient records)
Ability to handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA
Professional, friendly demeanor and reliable attendance
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; ability to commute to Clifton Heights, PA
PreferencesExperience with Dentrix and Dexis or similar dental software
Familiarity with ADA codes and dental billing practices
Prior experience with multi-doctor or PPO/fee-for-service dental offices
Experience posting payments and reconciling daily transactions
Bilingual language skills a plus
