Team Leader - 3rd Shift
What you´ll do
- The Packaging Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the decision-making processes within the packaging team during assigned shifts, while actively performing all operational tasks of an operator on the packaging line. This role acts as the central point of contact for team members, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication with other departments.
- Lead the packaging team, ensuring all operational tasks are performed efficiently on the assigned line.
- Coordinate resource planning and implement daily staffing strategies to optimize productivity
- Maintain regular communication with processing and other support functions, fostering collaboration and problem resolution.
- Act as a key resource for the packaging team, driving initiatives related to continuous improvement and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Identify training needs within the team and promote skill development to enhance team capabilities.
- Operates machines and production equipment safely in accordance with instructions
- Sets up or adjusts equipment according to manufacturing specifications
- Ensure that all equipment operates smoothly and meets quality control standards to deliver high-quality products
- Monitors the quality of output to identify or discard re-manufacture faulty products
- Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.
- Willing to work weekend overtime shifts.
- Participate in HPS activities. • DMS-Daily Management System: CILT, CL, DH o CILT-Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Tightening o CL-Center lining o DH-Defect Handling

- Team/Technical/Operational Qualifications/Skills:
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Willingness to flex schedule in order to meet business needs, including extended shifts, weekends, if necessary, as well as moving to other shifts to balance skills, results, vacation coverage and training opportunities
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills; ability to resolve issues independently and understand when additional support is needed
- Acts as a role model and provides direct feedback to encourage appropriate work behaviors
- Shares skills and knowledge with other team members
- Demonstrated desire and capacity for continuous learning of new work methods and technology
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team
- Current forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be willing to work overtime and holidays when necessary.
- Must be accessible by telephone and have access to transportation.
- Must maintain ability to perform all requirements list under the current job description.
- Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be at the workstation at the beginning of the shift.
- Must continuously follow all safety policies and procedures on the job.
- Must be safety and quality conscious.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job. • Ability to wear PPE as required.

The salary for this role is $22.75 - $24.55 . This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
