Job Title: Manufacturing Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong technical skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team to meet and exceed operational goals. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet and exceed operational goals.
• Enforce all safety rules and contribute to the overall safety program through improvements and role-modeling proper safe behaviors.
• Ensure quality expectations of customers are met and drive quality improvements.
• Coach the team on productivity goals and drive improvements to productivity.
• Ensure the team has the proper skills and training to deliver on yield goals.
• Provide resources to the team as needed to deliver results.
• Supervise up to 15 employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
• Train employees, direct work, address complaints, and resolve problems.

Essential Skills

• Manufacturing supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience performing quality checks.
• Hands-on technical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians and the management team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• MS Office Suite proficiency and keyboarding skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Extrusion experience is a plus.
• Lean experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Lean principles.
• Flexibility in working different shift schedules, including occasional weekends.
• GED or high school diploma required.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing plant that recently expanded, with a cold comfortable atmosphere in winters and cool in summers. The noise level is moderate with no or very limited exposure to physical risk. The dress code requires long pants and appropriate clothing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Tamaqua, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
