Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Assistant Manager to oversee the maintenance of one of our properties. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the property, while supervising a team of maintenance professionals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $28/hr

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop and for the inventory of tools, uniforms and equipment.
- Create and implement systems and monthly preventive maintenance plans.
- Ensure the staff is properly trained and have the proper tools to carry out job functions.
- Coordinate all hotel maintenance calls when on duty.
- Assign daily maintenance projects (Preventive Maintenance)
- Hold accountable the maintenance team for completing daily call sheet.
- Accountable for all staff being in proper uniform, including name tags and radios.
- Ordering items through Vail purchasing system.
- Actively participate/in charge of meetings not limited to: Daily Stand Ups, Weekly meetings, Monthly departmental meeting, Quarterly 1:1 meeting with staff.
- Directly manage the establishment of annual goals and the evaluation of performance for direct reports.
- Build strong, positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders outside of direct reports.
- Follow Vail brand standards while interacting with guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
- Abide by all safety rules and regulations from corporate, State and Federal.
- Communicate effectively with all of Seven Springs, guests and homeowners. Build functional relationships and provide input in order to increase personal and team effectiveness.
- Schedule and manage outside companies for specialty repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for the team to remove snow and salting of sidewalks throughout the resort where designated.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership qualities with a desire to further develop.
- Able to create and maintain a proactive safety culture.
- Willing to uphold a high standard of professionalism for self and crew members.
- Ability to effectively divide time to balance field work completion and administrative duties.
- Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Strong grasp of daily maintenance requirements and skill levels of the team.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or related field.
- Previous management experience desired.
- Organization skills a must.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (boilers, chillers, refrigeration) encouraged
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and teams.

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $28/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
