- Location: Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (Northern Arizona healthcare jobs)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930–$1980
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
- Shifts: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00); relief charge nurse duties on Wednesdays
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 times during assignment)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed, typically every 3rd weekend
- On-Call: No call required
- Scrub Color: Scrubs provided for OR RNs
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Free parking available
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact nursing license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- At least 3 months of recent charge nurse or relief charge experience
- Level I trauma nursing experience required (will consider highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in similar-sized or larger healthcare facilities)
- Proficient in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) surgical cases
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Serve as relief charge nurse on designated night shifts, providing leadership and clinical support to the surgical team
- Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures: ortho, trauma, spine, and neuro cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure optimal patient care and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, etc.)
- Adhere to facility quality standards and patient safety protocols, including medication administration
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
- Complete orientation and required training modules during the first week of assignment
- Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
