QAD/Cost Accounting Generalist

WE ARE HIRING – Cost Accounting Generalist (PENNSYLVANIA)

At Kelsen USA, we produce dolomitic refractory solutions for high-temperature industries such as steel.

Based in Tarentum, Pittsburgh (PA), we combine local manufacturing with international industrial expertise to deliver high-performance solutions in demanding environments.

We are currently looking for a Cost Accounting Generalist to support our accounting and finance.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage and perform general ledger accounting activities, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.

- Oversee cost management processes by analyzing expenses, preparing cost reports, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software QAD.

- Assist with audits, SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and internal controls documentation.

- Perform account analysis on accounts payable and accounts receivable to verify accuracy; process invoices and payments efficiently.

- Collect data for financial analysis projects; support forecasting initiatives by providing relevant financial insights.

- Collect, organize, and keep up-to-date vendor information such as W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, and payment information.

What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a focus on cost management.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts.

- Hands-on experience with QAD ERP system preferred.

- Knowledge of financial concepts including account analysis, account reconciliation procedures, and balance sheet management.
