Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
Windrose Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and confident Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! This position offers a great mix of general nursing, patient care, anesthesia, and hands-on technical work. Every day brings something new—from routine appointments and surgeries to supporting our team with a variety of cases.
If you’re looking for a place where your technical skills are trusted, encouraged, and appreciated, Windrose is the place for you. Experience with exotic species is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to teach if you’re eager to learn!

Windrose Animal Hospital is a progressive, team-focused veterinary practice providing exceptional care for dogs, cats, and a variety of exotic pets.
Our hospital features a fully equipped double surgery suite with modern technology, including cautery, a ventilator, ligature, a handheld dental x-ray unit, and endoscopy. We’re also a cloud-based practice , so no more juggling handwritten notes!

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing and technical support for patients before, during, and after procedures
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Maintain clean, organized, and sterile environments
- Educate clients on patient care, medications, and recovery instructions
- Record and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Support daily hospital flow and assist with patient handling for both routine and surgical cases
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience (surgery and anesthesia experience required)
- Comfortable with (or interested in learning about) exotic species
- Strong knowledge of patient monitoring and veterinary care standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required
