Theme Park Lighting Technician/Spotlight Operator
RWS Global is seeking a dedicated Lighting Technician/Spotlight Operator to support our productions during the seasonal contract period. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of theatrical lighting operations, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to follow direction from the Technical Director, Lead, or Lighting Designer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate spotlight during performances and conduct basic maintenance as needed.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with theatre lighting
- Change lighting gels and perform other necessary lighting-related tasks.
- Follow stage directions and maintain a working knowledge of theatrical staging requirements.
- Collaborate with other RWS employees and production staff to ensure seamless operation.
- Adhere to production schedules, deadlines, and operational procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of all work areas, including backstage, dressing rooms, and green rooms.
- Comply with all safety protocols, company policies, and infectious disease control measures.
- Follow the company’s chain of command and guidelines for professional conduct.
- Assist with install/load-in and strike/load-out processes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and reasonable for the position.
- Prior experience in theatrical lighting, spotlight operation, or stage production preferred.
- Basic understanding of lighting equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise cues and instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
