Job Details

Service Days: Thursday through Sunday
Typical Work Week: Wednesday through Sunday (prep + service)
Schedule: Nights, weekends, and holidays required

Turks Head Wines is seeking a talented, driven Sous Chef to join our culinary team at our Tasting Room in West Chester, PA. As Sous Chef, you will work directly with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and lead the team in delivering consistent execution through prep and service.

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations

• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency

• Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards

• Help develop new menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings

• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards

• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls with the Executive Chef

• Oversee prep work, station setup, and service execution

• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned

• Lead by example with professionalism, attention to detail, and teamwork

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role

• Strong culinary skills and deep knowledge of cooking techniques

• Understanding of cost control, ordering, and kitchen management

• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment

• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

• Passion for seasonal, high-quality ingredients and creative presentation
