Product Owner III
Hybrid 4 days onsite in Pittsburgh, PA
Our client seeks a Product Owner III with strong Agile delivery experience in regulated environments. The role translates mission-driven, security, and compliance requirements into a prioritized, execution-ready backlog while operating across strategy and delivery. The Product Owner partners with internal stakeholders only and leverages AI tools to improve backlog quality, acceptance criteria, and overall throughput within governance, audit, and regulatory frameworks.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Product Owner for a regulated initiative, owning and managing the product backlog.
- Translate complex or high-level requirements into clear user stories, well-defined acceptance criteria, and logical process flows.
- Refine and evolve an existing product roadmap to align with business priorities.
- Gather and translate business requirements for engineering teams.
- Drive execution with urgency and accountability to meet delivery objectives.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across business, technology, and compliance.
- Operate within formal governance, audit, and regulatory constraints.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance story writing, acceptance criteria development, and backlog refinement.
- Assist with testing activities to ensure delivery quality.
- Work within a highly Agile environment and adhere to Agile best practices.
- Focus on delivery and refinement rather than establishing new processes.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
- Proven experience delivering Agile products in complex, regulated environments.
- Ability to convert complex requirements into a prioritized, execution-ready backlog.
- Hands-on contributor with demonstrated direction-setting and leadership.
- Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
- Extensive experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with implementing and using AI tools to support product delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration within internal teams.
- Experience in federally governed or highly regulated environments (preferred).
- Financial services or commercial domain experience (preferred).
- Exposure to API and/or SQL concepts (preferred).
- Certifications not required.
- Security clearance not required.

The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range. W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
