Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team at Moran Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards inside and out of our facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all operations. Your contributions will be vital to our commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving of equipment as necessary for cleaning tasks.
• Assist in food processing areas by maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and sanitation compliance.
• Ensure that documentation is completed in full
• Perform limited grounds maintenance such as picking up litter
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitors' room, ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked
• Wash windows as needed
• Perform and document routing inspections and maintenance activities
• Cross-train on other duties or areas
• Carry out special projects
• Inspect and assist with repack of damaged product as needed
• Ensure all areas are clear of debris
• Empty all garbage containers as needed
• Able to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Lead a team of Custodian/Sanitation personnel

Requirements

• Previous experience in sanitation or custodial roles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
• Familiarity with food safety standards is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Detail-oriented and thorough
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance
• Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
