General Definition:

This is skilled work at the full performance level in the maintenance, repair, and installation of roofs and related sheet metal appurtenances. Work includes and ranges from routine patchwork of roofs to installation of industrial-sized roofs up to 30,000 square feet. Work may involve some disagreeable environmental aspects, conditions which can be only partially controlled, and moderate physical effort.

EDUCATION:

Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade.

EXPERIENCE:

Three years of experience learning the roofing trade as a helper or apprentice.
