Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality plastic compounds:

• Set up and operate industrial mixing and extrusion equipment according to production specifications
• Follow production travelers and documentation to track materials from raw input to finished product
• Read and interpret production forms (recipes) to select and measure correct materials
• Adjust machine settings to meet required specs (size, shape, color, hardness, etc.)
• Perform thorough machine cleanouts between runs to prevent contamination
• Accurately record production data, process steps, and quality checks
• Monitor product flow from cooling through packaging and staging
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications are met
• Perform basic quality control checks and report any issues
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods

Work Environment

• Industrial plastics manufacturing facility with a hands-on, fast-paced atmosphere
• Exposure to production machinery, mixers, and extrusion equipment
• Noticeable plastic smell typical of the industry
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 55 lbs as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred (training available)
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and production documentation
• Strong attention to quality and safety
• Forklift experience is a plus

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
